It’s true, most performers, musicians, and artists don’t know how to manage their money.

You want to make a career out of your craft, but you weren’t taught how to manage your money in college.

You most likely had to learn it the hard way:

  • You spend money on lessons/coachings/classes/supplies, etc.
  • You use your credit card to pay for living expenses because you don’t earn enough from your art/craft
  • You have a day job to pay the bills

That’s about it. And now you’re in some — or a lot of — debt.

No one told you about opening a savings/retirement account — or even what type of account you should open as an artist.

You weren’t taught to put money away from every paycheck towards taxes.

You were never told to have an emergency fund of at least 3 months worth of expenses.

If you do these already, AMAZING! You’re ahead of most of the artists out there.

If you don’t do any of these, get started NOW. It’s never too late to get your finances…

I have a muggle day job, write, sing, and do voiceover by night, along with all the other projects happening in my life. Cat mom. She/her.
